True by Spandau ballet is the worst song ever made. I hate it with a passion, not some bits but all of it, if it comes on the radio or tv I turn it off or just shout and swear at it until it's finished. It should be banned and never played again At least he can actually sing with a decent range. I hated that half a year when ‘Everything I do, I do it for you’ was number 1. Not long after MTV arrived here so it was on constantly.

That’s what all that stuff is for.

Rat in me kitchen by UB40,,,,,probably a cover knowing them, but what the fook is that all about?? And please don’t say it’s about a rat in someone’s kitchen Love Shack by the B52’s makes me want to every time I hear it. Also that ‘it wasn’t me’ thing by shaggy, my local commercial radio station plays it all year round several times a day it seems, as they do with a lot of songs and I’ve grown to hate it. I tried listening to U2 a lot because I wanted to find music that was sensible, poignant, melodic but without this silly political involvement that people who can sing and who can tell stories well think that the world cares about what they say. I still couldn't find what I was looking for.

HTH. I think the worst song in history is probably Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now by The Smiths. That's assuming all that tuneless shouty rapping s***e doesn't count as "songs". But that's coming from someone who would say the only decent music written since the war is Bohemian Rhapsody. And even that uses "baby" to mean something other than "child, infant", something I normally consider a crime against art.

I aim to please Froggie.! Now my 2nd most hated man in rock is..... BONO!!! Reason being that in the very early '80's,before they became "big", I went to see Slade and Discharge(2 of my fav live bands) at the Lyceum in London on a Sunday night. U2 were the opening act and during their performance I was chatting to a gorgeous punky-girl whilst leaning on the stage(as you could in those days)to the left of me a group of punk -lads were giving Bono some verbals. Bono then stopped the band playing ,called for security, had these punk-lads throw-out then pointed to me and said "Him as well". Good news was I knew one of the doormen, who let me back in ,bad news,I never saw that gorgeous punky-girl again. I HATE YOU BONO(and STING). Ollie's Dad,Ash.

What is good or bad music is entirely subjective. I loathe 99% of rap, especially when a half decent song is ruined by a rap interlude, and it baffles me as to why it is still a thing. It was passe 30 years ago or at least it should have been.
