We’ve been playing well, but this is the game that, as you say, could really start to make things uncomfortable for Roy, no excuses of being gallant losers or scraping a good point against the big boys, if we can’t score and beat this Burnley team on current form, there’s a serious problem. I love Roy, but this is the time of year where SP might start getting an itchy trigger finger, with plenty of the season left and the transfer window looming.

I think he has enough credit in the bank for the miracle he performed last season, keeping us up against all odds.

There is one way.

An own goal.

Our first win at Selhurst this season will come by way of an own goal. You heard it here first.

That will do me !
Burnley conceded an own goal in their last match at home to Newcastle.

If we go behind quite early and struggle to break them dow, I fear it could well get quite toxic in the ground which of course won't help the players but will be a natural reaction.

But for how long? if we don’t win one of our next four games, he’ll be gone by Christmas, which would be a shame because I love the bloke and we’ve been playing ok, miracle or no miracle, SP must know he stuck with Pardew too long and got lucky, I doubt he’ll hang around again.

that’ll do for me!!! s*** game, two crap teams, pissing down with rain, cold chips, but I’ll walk away a happy man if we pinch a win with an own goal.

Personally I would keep Roy as manager as he comes across as a very honest gent and knows what he is doing but I wouldn't necessarily play up what happened last season too much, as he took over after 4 games and had a long part of the season to turn the team around. Sam left the team in good shape but FDB tried to change too much too quickly and paid the price. All of Pulis, Pards and Sam had shorter periods to fight off relegation.

I hope if the trigger finger is itchy it should be aimed at himself or Freedman after our shocking transfer business over the last year. That is why we're struggling so much.

Not a popular opinion but we're massively missing Benteke and Dann's aerial strength and Roy has a complete lack of options.

Despite Burnley's poor form not many on here are predicting a win for us and I suspect quite a few of our supporters believe it will be a draw or a narrow defeat.Supporters have lost faith in our ability to win at home and this is understandable given our abject form at 'Selhurst'.

Could be a very uncomfortable walk for Hodgson from dug-out to the tunnel if we succumb to another defeat against a struggling team.Words will be shot out,purple-hot projectiles of bile.It really will be a terrible result.

I actually think our form has begun to improve and I think a 1-0 to Palace is 🤞

Cardiff were one of the teams many had considered as relegation fodder yet they have won 3 home games and we haven't scored a goal from open play at home this season !.

A draw or defeat tomorrow and there will be a vesuvian eruption on here and elsewhere.A great deal of hyperventilating and steam coming out of ears.
