I'm sure they can have some kind of input but admittedly they are not here in coaching roles necessarily. In particular Freedman is an everyday member of staff and should have some kind of say in coaching. Not sure what Bright's role is but obviously he must have something to say about our strikers when he speaks to Parish.

because some one may of played in a position doesn't make them a good coach and freedman was never top class player anyway he was championship quality at best.

the coaching at the club is not great defense wise we are good because we have the quality coaches for that but if you check coaching staff we dont have quality ones when it comes to the likes of shooting/attacking

just look how players improve when they move to clubs with better setup this is because of the coaching quality.

Composure has been mentioned but for me it's a lack of confidence firstly.
Throughout the team when it comes to any real shooting opportunities nobody wants to have a go.

I seem to watch other teams each week bang in goals from shots or rebounds but not Palace. We still want to walk it in or try and score from a set piece or penalty.
Who do we have that's capable of hitting the target from 15-20 yards out? Or should I rephrase that who ever takes on a shot and actually hits the target from 15-20 yards out?
Andros-West Brom was probably the last time this year and that was a cup game.

You really believe either of them have any say over what goes on in training Roy is in charge of? Dear oh dear. If the manager was about 38 in the championship I’d agree with you, although I wouldn’t trust Dougie hovering around.

A lot of that is tactics and lack of imagination.

The other thing is we don't really have players with brains you see this many times when things are not working they don't know what to do the same with when they get to final 3rd. (way around this is you have to drill things into people so it becomes natural like muscle memory this is the reason why we struggle to change style of football)

The club has not moved forward backroom setup is so important but we just keep bringing in people that have history with club that is pointless and when we do get some quality it is only due to the current manager bringing in couple of people which end up going when they do anyway.

We used to see Wright miss the target with countless shots, but he had so many shots a fair few went in and his confidence increased.

Wright was a striker, bit of a difference.

This was once a quality forum....

What I couldn't work about the Townsend chance was that it was perfect for his strong left foot to just bend it along the ground into the corner.... For some reason he decided to try with his weaker right foot!!

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Goals will arrive this Saturday and more to follow. ....!

I’m very pleased with the rest of the coaching going on

Keeping clean sheets n doing the basics might be boring but it has kept us safe in the past

The team worked hard against mank Utd ( yes the oppo wasn’t their normal on fire selves)

Still a Stella performance

Wayne especially is commanding his area more and I know longer shudder when he’s near the ball. ...!

If we could get Thierry Henry in for a few sessions ??

Whatever we just need a target man in the middle to do the simple tap ins

Or maybe Dann or the other central defenders can head a few in during set play ie Sakho the beast and Tonka Tompkins ( meyer whipping in better free kicks will do the job during set plays n corners)

Coyp

R.i.p dear Staffie
