Starship Troopers was on TV last night. What a great movie. Verhoeven at his best. Great action with satire and a good script. And people actually like Star Wars.

Certainly, the film is heavily satirical. Two of the best sci fi books I have read aside from the classics are Eon by Greg Bear and Old Man's War by John Scalzi. I'm surprised that they haven't been made into films yet.
