To answer your post about little clues. Many years ago I went for a job at Bromley Library, the candidate before me came out of the room and was surrounded by the staff who obviously knew them. They might as well have given her hi fives. To make matters worst at the end of my interview I was told I had given the best interview and had a great CV but they had decided to give it to another candidate (no surprise). That was an example of the council paying lip services to advertising jobs to external candidates when they already had an internal candidate lined up. Anyway try not to read too much into it fingers crossed you get the job. Unless you're going for a library job
Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry. |

so who got the job then? Bloke said to me 'be lucky' at the end of one interview, which clearly implied I was not lucky on that occasion The candidate who was called by her first name got the job. 'Barbara'

In my younger days I went for an interview as a researcher at a Scientific research company. Interviewer was a good looking woman who I got on well with. At the end, shaking hands, I winked at her. Didn't get the job. The good looking bloke got the job mate, but you had a lucky escape, she was a nympho and her twin sister was to!

I was invited to observe a number of interviews earlier this year - the competency bit was completely at odds with the experience levels of the candidates.

To which I said that would be fine, That makes me think I am not successfully as usually they phone and speak to you with feedback. And I feel leaving a message feels like a way of getting out of speaking with you to give you bad news... I wouldn't read too much into it A decent recruiter will be thorough about such minutiae Could be you will get a message asking you to call in. Or could be they had a big candidate pool and they want a quick way to give bad news. Hard to tell. By the way, if you want to be successful drop the spare l. Edited by Mapletree (14 Nov 2018 8.41pm)

Don't understand your point Are you saying that in fact the more experienced people actually didn't have such good answers for the CBI questions as the less experienced people? It happens. Intellectual curiosity isn't especially common, so not everyone learns well through experience.
