How many starts, apps, or minutes has Meyer had? According to the Meyer thread he received multiple hospital balls, surrounded by our complete dross. Compare that to linking up with Zaha et al, creating an ‘assist’ and hitting the bar. He had another assist earlier this season. He obviously has talent. It’s up to the manager to use it, not sit him on the bench because he’s not suited to keeping it 0-0 in hope we get that loose ball chance. That won’t last. I was there... He was as poor as anyone.

I doubt many players currently in the first team picture will be moved in January. I do not rate Schlupp and would be ok seeing him leave but we would without a doubt take a loss on what we payed for him. Fringe players such as Jario and Pape I feel are two of the most likely to move as well as players like Johnny WIlliams and Sully Kaiki who have not been able to even appear on the bench very often. Unfortunately if all four of those were to move that would probably only add around 10 million combined to the budget and could leave the squad somewhat thin. Loan spells for Sorloth, Jario, Kaiki, and Williams are also possible. Sending Ayew back would also be nice with hopes of bringing RLC back on loan again, although RLC could return with Ayew staying. I would also not be surprised to see the club shell out large funds on a striker with the idea of selling Benteke and potentially Sorloth in the summer window to recoup the funds, and shedding Benteke's wages is probably a good long term plan.

Actually I saw an article the other day titled something along the lines of "Board to back Hodgson in January window with massive budget" Needless to say there were no direct quotes or anything in the article, just bollocks basically, but there just have been something that spurred the article to be written.

Hmmm. With due respect to Andy Street, I'm not much clearer on Palace's situation having read that...
