You make these calls when forced upon you which is what happened in that case. We have the same issue now regarding a decent striker...or lack thereof. Unless we stick Wilf and Andros up top then I can't see why we can't give Daly a bash...what do we have to lose ? If Roy makes it clear to him that if it doesn't work out he's still in his plans so he's not under too much pressure then I for one would love to see it. If he's pants...he's pants...but it would be nice to find out. I agree that this is a situation where we really have nothing to lose by trying a young striker, but it's important to remember that a striker has a huge amount of responsibility in a match, particularly in terms of hold-up play. It may be that our young strikers aren't judged to be physically or mentally capable of starting in that position in the PL, and it could be really damaging to their confidence if it goes wrong. I'll tell you what I would like to see - a young striker on the bench instead of Alexander 'Oh, do I have to play football now?' Sorloth
