What a shame to hear the first phone calls are being made and its a load of unknowns and lack of clarity still, causing uncertainty and frustration. This whole thing has been handled poorly by the club and Mr Steve Parish.
Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha. |

This whole thing has been handled poorly by the club and Mr Steve Parish. Its because they have no idea how it will work. How on earth do you decide who joins a singing section? Frpm the posts on here there are thousands who would like to be a part of it...so how will it work? First come first served? Auditions? Fans who look good in black? Can't wait to see the final episode of this soap opera.

Well I already sit in block E row 23 AND I have a music degree so does that mean my seat is guaranteed now....?? Seriously though, what the club is "offering" us is exchange for being turfed out of our seats after years with no guarantee of where or when we might able to renew for next year would be laughable if it wasn't just totally ridiculous instead...

So they won't be allowed to stand? What a frigging joke this whole episode is, we'll be even more of a laughing stock than we are now. In all my years supporting Palace I've never known such a farce. Well done HF, I hope you are proud of yourselves.

If you can demonstrate effective tempo choice and inherent sense of rhythm, instinct and ability for story-telling, facial involvement – a singer’s eyes are so important apparently, expressive use of colour and dynamics and most important, use of rubato?

The whole thing's a disgrace. As you say, it's not just those in those rows who are affected but all those around whose view/enjoyment could be ruined by this change. All very well offering first dibs on untaken seats for next season but back in 1995 when the Holmesdale opened we all went down and picked our seats - now those being moved could end up anywhere and in seats that presumably aren't very popular otherwise someone would already have them. People have sat there for decades and made friends with those around them and will now be nowhere near them. This really is unfair. Not as if our home form has been that good since the HF started - certainly not so good that their vocal support justifies this in any way. Edited by cpj (10 Oct 2018 8.46pm)

HF bring a great party but this is a dogs dinner. Blatantly should’ve waited for safe standing and opening of new main stand to push this through.

I cannot believe that a man of the stature of Steve Parish can have given in so easily to the bullying blackmail and arrogance (Kick the oldies out and give us their seats or we won't support you anymore) of the Holmesdale Choirboys. This action shows the contempt that the HC and apparently the club show for their older supporters who don't use social media or like the majority of palace fans don't post on this forum.
