This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

It was only a couple of weeks ago that they were saying the public SHOULD get involved when you see such an incident, maybe they forgot to add, "unless you are unarmed and not fully kitted out"! He obviously didn"t go to the same training college as Dixon of dock green!

As an afterthought - why not get your driver to drive straight at the killer and take him out that way?

I did think that too....but if he was in the process of knifing this guy you'd perhaps get both instead of the maggot.

He probably had to get out....but he was found wanting. Perhaps when he was younger at would have been different but we don't need careerists when the s***e hits the fan.

Like i said he was wrong not to intervene.
But if you are faced with a fight or flight situation; as a human what would you do.
Im not sure of my own reaction so unless you have been its a bit harsh to criticise him in that context.
He has been a plod for a long time so whats to say that he hasnt been there for someone in the past and actually put himself in harms way.

i do wonder though he was the mets chief at the time perhaps his driver did what he was taught to do and stopped his boss getting involved as they didnt know if there were more attackers and perhaps whatever his name might have been the target..hindsight is a wonderful skill
