Meyer dropped. Does Roy think he can't play 2 games in 6 days. Performance on Monday night merits a place. 8 games on the bounce for them unchanged, compared to our bizarre team selection. Let's hope they are open enough for us to exploit but could well be a long game if they pass through us. COYP !!

It’s obvious Roy prefers 4-4-2 and so this means moving Zaha back up top. The only way he can do this is to bring Schlupp back on as, once Zaha is at CF we lack wide players other than Andros and Jeff. Coming at Meyers expense seems... odd though Edited by Master Coin (06 Oct 2018 2.23pm)

Instant cover if Ward goes forward plus the additional pace of WB??

I would have dropped Townsend, he was dreadful against Bournemouth. His backtracking and defending for Bournemouth’s first goal was non existent. I would have played Meyer instead...

Once again loads of so called "experts" on here who all know better than the manager. Why don't people stop and think before second guessing Roy, they may be a good reason why Meyer is not starting, he may have a slight niggle or strain that is stopping him from playing a 90 minute stint, it happens you know.

Line up looks fine to me if i would change anything i would be tempted to switch keeper and try Sorloth from the start in place of Ayew. if it doesn't work he can always use the subs to take Sorloth off. not fan of Wilf up front he is wasted like that but i expect he will have a free role so he can go around the pitch which should open some holes up if he is going to be man market or doubled up on. regarding Max hes not ready looks good going forward but not great defence wise otherwise i would of said switch him for MacArthur Edited by grumpymort (06 Oct 2018 2.55pm)
