0-2 Wolves.

I remember a season in the past where we seemed to lose every home game 0-2. The pattern is already emerging again.

0-2 to Wolves who are riding on the crest of a wave by comparison re: confidence and smart finishing.

We need to not lose this one, but I suspect we will. In the circumstances, a draw would be a great result.

If we lose, this will be 4 home games without a win and I suspect alarm bells will be ringing amongst our supporters.

Only Arsenal,Chelsea, Tottenham and Man Utd to come after Everton away !. Early season optimism appears to be evaporating and a defeat by Wolves will cause a great deal of concern.

I'd hope that alarm bells would be ringing amongst our management!

I'm going to be positive and say we'll win 2-1. Wilf getting a smile back on his face.

I have been speaking to some of our supporters and there really appears to be a dearth of optimism apropos our prospects against Wolves and for the season in general.

They look at our strike force of Benteke,Sorloth,Ayew and Wickham and with the reliance on Zaha to score. Taking these factors into consideration a cloud of negativity descends upon them and these are chaps who are generally fairly positive about our chances and have accused me in the past of being a glumbucket.

With four games to come against top six sides,if Wolves eat us alive, our early season optimism will lie in tatters, relying once again on the equally poorly performing teams below us to help us out of a hole we have dug for ourselves.

Including Wickham as a member of our strike force is rather stretching things!!

That's pretty much what I originally wrote, including the score, then I decided to be irrationally optimistic. We do have a good team in there somewhere, it just needs to show up for 90 minutes.

I believe Wolves have kept the same team for the last 6 or 7 games.

I suspect they will field a back three of Boly,Coady and Bennett with two wing backs in Doherty and Jonny.Bennett could trouble us with his long throws and Neves can score from 25 yard free kicks, has a good shot from distance and has scored some specatcular goals.Helder Costa is another player who takes free kicks but he doesn't tend to last the whole game.Talented players across the pitch.

They shelled out nigh on £65 Mill on transfers in pre-season with a net spend of around £50 Mill.
