Corners are statistically not a good way of scoring goals; Not many teams have much more than 6% of their corners actually leading to a goal.

..so it doesn;t help when the majority of our deliveries are poor....

taken from May2017, but [Link]

with a few minutes remaining, a corner was flicked on at the near post by Andy Thorn and Alan Pardew unceremoniously bundled it in from a few yards

Can't remember a good corner taker at the club since Simon Rodger. Maybe Ambrose? We've had lots of Ben Watson-esque takers since the 00's...

We scored a lot of goals from Ben Watson set pieces. He hit the first man on occasion, but that was because he was trying to fizz it in just over his head, which is a much more dangerous delivery when you get it right.

Always thought Simon Rodger was a little overrated from set pieces. Lots of floaty ones to the penalty spot that were quite easy to defend.

Both preferable to watching Luka overhit everyone over and over again.

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.
