I only saw this chap in an old show the other day and thought how much stuff he has been in over the years. Another very recognisable English face gone. Could we add to this an underrated acting talent in the same pool as the likes of Richard Griffiths; Bob Peck; Ray McInally etc who could all act the socks off many a Hollywood blockbuster (sold largely upon special FX) actor?

The Brits are very well represented in Hollywood and with good reason. However, I don't hold with the notion that American actors are always poor. There have been some excellent ones. The material can often be challenging for anyone.

Back in 1980 when I was a 'punky' 18 year old,I used to frequent the Kings Road in Chelsea, drinking in various pubs. One weekday afternoon I was in the Chelsea Potter and in walked Dudley Sutton. Straight away I said hello and told him I was a big fan after watching The Devils,The Boys and The Leather Boys. He was amazed that this young punk kid had recognised him. He turned to this big bloke sitting at the bar and said jokingly "Look at this John, even the kids know who I am!" To which I replied in amazement " Oh wow,it's John Bindon!" I left that pub a couple of hours later the most p1$$£d I had ever been up to that point in my young life. I just wish I had a camera on me!!! Dudley RIP and thank you for that afternoon. Ollie's Dad,Ash.
