Exactly. He pulled up in training and was touch and go for the following day's match, then failing a late fitness test. Oh, and actually we nearly got a 1 - 1 draw out of that despite being absolutely s***e for 75 minutes. And against Watford, (Ward's missed header)

We're 4 games into the season - 3 points better off than last year at this time and with a much better squad in terms of depth and quality and a much better manager - stop wetting yourself..!! Would you rather be in our position or West Ham's? Get a grip..!! COYP Think that you might need to take a grip given how utterly poor Palace was on Saturday against... an arguably lesser team... at home. These were the type of matches lost last season that could've cost us dearly and that are only so many seasons that where fortune of this kind will be allowed to occur. Reality is that we do STILL not have required depth in squad at this level when you see how other teams have spent in key positions. When you look at 25 man final squad, how are these players earnestly fairing at Premiership level: 33. Ryan Inniss Would love to see all triumph but the reality is that we showed ourselves to be a vastly inferior side without talisman Zaha last Saturday...and it just isn't right to steep so much pressure and expectation upon one player for a whole team.

I do think the problem saturday was that his injury was so late in thd week. Presumably they trained all week with zaha a key player, and his injury ladt moment was a disaster. But hopefully trainkng for 2 weeks without him will mean wd should be better against Huddersfield.

Ryan Inniss None of the players that you have listed are in the squad of 25 and one of them isn't even at the club as he's gone out on a season long loan. There is enough talent in the squad to win games and perhaps once Roy gives the new boys a start matters might improve

Well that's an issue with the training régime, because it only takes a moment for a clogger to put the boot in and as we saw at Watford the officials are going to let them get away with it.

I think players who give their all tend to do so in both matches and in training as it is in their nature and are therefore more susceptible to picking up niggly injuries. Whether we decide to wrap Wilf in cotton wool is up for discussion but his super fitness and speed stem from his hard training work so not sure how you address it.
