I think you have to be realistic and say that this is going to happen. I was just trying to see a way which would enable the current farmer to get something out of the situation. I have no doubts that black Africans have the ability to work hard, have perseverance, common sense and dedication. What they may not have is the skill. I presume they see the land grab as a form of nationalisation which has been done in this country. I'm sure some of the old coal mine owners, for instance, would have seen the forced taking of the mines in a similar way to the farmers. Mnangangwa has approached this in Zimbabwe, offering the farmers 99 year leases iirc. South Africa, to be fair, also steal the property and livelihoods of other Africans in South Africa and/or murder them.

Does this mean we can do it then? We have racial groups doing better than whites here. Can we take their businesses? Originally posted by johnno42000

However, you need enough within that group to dominate over the corrupt and basal. Tell me which Africa country has done this. This failure cannot be excused away over long time spans. Originally posted by johnno42000

No, because this isn't being done to black owned farms, which accounts for around 20-25 percent......Funnily enough those farms are failing. Strange that isn't it.

I agree with you about pumping more money into parts of Africa. There may be the odd occasion where emergency food aid is required but apart from that I agree with you that we shouldn't. The left and right both have questions to answer about Africa as it was used as a type of virtual cold war area in the 60's, 70's and 80's with both the right supporting countries and the left supporting countries. I agree with you that Africa has been exploited.....Mainly because the governments there are so corrupt and willing to screw over their own people for a piece of the pie.

Africa has been progressed by accessing the technology and development of other cultures. God knows where Africa would be otherwise. The gulf between the Africans and Europeans when we first went over there was night and day.

Thank you for that grammatical correction, however, the point remains the same. Any progress sub Sarahan Africans have made toward the first world has been down to Europeans.
