Imagine what the Fulham fans are saying about Mike Dean, after Sakho's non penalty, so of course he is our favourite. Seriously, the abuse of refs on here is pathetic. I don't STR any of their players thinking that was a penalty at the time.

Was it him that gave Everton a pen for the Niasse dive? Also be interesting to see how he handles the Doucoure vs Wilf spat and Watford's baying fans! Ollie's Dad,Ash.

Personally I think Oliver got both big decisions right on Monday. Some people don't. We're still divided after seeing all the replays in the world, and he has a split second to make a decision. Him and Atkinson best refs we've got. Someone like Jon Moss isn't up to standard but digging Oliver out for somebody sort of mystery bias is just silly

The standard of refereeing last season wax awful, the worst i can remember, can't really see it being much better this season. The fact that there were no English refs af thd world cup speaks volumes. Maybe we should start 'poaching' foreign refs. we have foreign players, managers, owners, why not refs. We must be able to pay them more than most countries.

Ollie's Dad,Ash. he gave the pen when we beat them 1-0 15/16 season at watford so cant be that bad a ref, he has in total gave 6 pens in our favour and only 4 against, to the people who have never done the job, sitting in armchairs watching the 30+ cameras, watching replays, then going he got it wrong, if you want 3 hour games let the refs review every foul

I thought VAR might help but clearly the Premier league didn't want it to come in.

It was not the PL who made the decision not to introduce it for this season.Clubs voted by a 2/3 majority to defer implementation and we were one of them.It will happen eventually of course.

However one other decision that really riled me was the PVA tackle in the first half on Milner, resulting in Wilf being free. Ref did not give it, despite looking in that direction, it was given by Linesman, then Oliver booked PVA. From where Linesman was he could not possibly have seen whether it was dangerous play, obviously swayed by Milner clutching his leg as if it was broken.

You should try the refs in League Two-they regularly turn to their assistant refs in the manner of a blind man to their guide dog, often because they seem to have lost concentration. Tuesday at Lincoln City saw 2 players with similar ethnicity & haircuts confused with each other by both ref & assistant. I agree though, that the big club bias still seems to be present at times; I believe VAR would help that issue.

Obviously I don't know for a fact, but it is possible that when the players came together, Oliver was focussed on the ball, which was won cleanly by PVA hence play was allowed to continue but it was the Assistant who wasn't that far from the incident who saw the follow through, informed Oliver and advised him it was dangerous.Just a possibility.
