Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Surely Ayew won't be allowed to play against his parent club?

Apparently there are no rules for playing against the parent club in cup games (for some strange reason ) but I think Swansea get the final say as to wether he can or not

Subscription service in the US for $5 a month. Got it for rugby and will check if I can get the Palace game tomorrow.

To get this outside the US you would have to use a VPN.

Can't help but feel that RH has to play Benteke up front for this one to salvage much needed confidence. He has to score.

Frankly, I'm getting a bit sick and tired about hearing how we should be pandering to Benteke's 'confidence'.

The man is, supposedly, a professional footballer, earning probably something in the region of £120K a week, having cost us an arm and a leg to buy in the first place.

If he is now so lacking in confidence, because he didn't do the job he was being paid for last season(scoring goals), that he can no longer do that job this season, then surely it is now down to him to get himself off to a psychiatrist/psychologist and get himself sorted out in the head, whilst the rest of the team are allowed to get on with their jobs with a player up front who, hopefully, can do the job he's being paid for. Then we might have a far less fraught season than last year.

rant over

I don't know why the club doesn't hire a sports psychologist to sort him out as it's in the club's best interests to get him firing again.

It isn't as if it's something new as Pardew used the services of ex cricketer Jeremy Snape and Allardyce also brought one in to sort out our problems at Selhurst Park

The strange thing with Benteke was although I wanted him replaced during the game by Ayew on Sunday he could have had a hat trick.
He missed with one header, had another header saved and then had an excellent shot on the turn which just went wide.
It’s fine margins in the game and personally I would start him at Swansea to try and kickstart his season.
