Anyone know why there are no catering vans anywhere around the ground?
I can't think of a single other ground where there aren't a few burger vans littering the surrounding streets.

The catering has been an issue for years now.
I gave up on trying to support the club by drinking in the Glaziers after one incident too many....the guy being served before me asked for an orange squash and the girl behind the bar poured it into a glass and didn't seem to understand that it needed diluting ! Then looked at him like he was mad when telling her !

Saying that, thanks to the rail timetable I found myself at Selhurst Park a lot earlier than usual on Monday night, so thought I'd have a pre match Palace Ale in the Lower Holmesdale. And I would have done if they had had any

There used to be a burger van at the top end of holmesdale which did lovely chicken burger, but sadly gone before last season, probably the club wanted to much of their profits.
I thought there was a committee set up a few seasons ago to voice concerns over the catering facilities etc. What happened to them?? We are premiership but run like a first division club as far as catering is concerned. # pisspoor

What's even more surprising is that in the pub trade, it's the catering and snacks side that brings in the money to support the bars in most cases.

Surely, employing their own catering staff (or a separate but wholly owned subsidiary company) and producing decent quality food, in good quantities at reasonable prices should be a doddle to anyone with experience in the trade.

Would be another nice little earner for the club, but like the club shop, they just don't seem to be able to do it.

Indeed. A properly-run catering operation ought to be a ‘nice little earner’. To run out of stock when you have a potential customer base in the 000s is criminal!

The police horses don’t like the smell of cooking horse meat.

The fact is that the whole catering operation for the vast majority of supporters is absolutely Bl**dy awful. To use a well know saying "they could not organise a P*ss up in a brewery"

What if we all agreed to simply boycott the food and drink outlets for the next home game? I am sure that the financial impact would be noticed, along with the wasted food stocks (unless they re freeze it!)

We do not want silver service catering, just cold beer, decent ale, good quality food at a reasonable price. At the moment it feels like a 1970s motorway service station as slipped through a time warp and landed at Selhurst Park. And as for the staff a little bit customer service training would not go amiss!

I am enjoying being back at Selhurst and having a beer with my mates just like we have done for the past 40 years. Through Thick and thin we stick with our club. Not chairman, players or managers, OUR CLUB!

Darned disgusting service for supporters many of whom pay hard earned money and have supported the club through thick and thin.

But of course the corporate guests, perhaps may with NO allegiance to CPFC at all get fawned over like royalty whilst the rest, and core support, are subjected to such dross.

Totally and utterly unacceptable and it is high time that the club acted accordingly and NOT subject the supporters to such an appalling level of service.DISGUSTING.

There were forums set up for a whole load of things shortly after Parish etc took over. I was on the catering one. It met a few times a season for one or two seasons, but the invitations to meetings just stopped coming (or maybe it's just me, and the rest of them are still going....)

A shame, because they did try to change things to go along with suggestions we made.

All good. Nothing bad.
