Even better, in his ‘team of the week’ write up he praised AWB for his performance & the way he handled several Fulham players including Ibrahima Cisse who didn’t actually play.

Grade A c0ckwomble.

That wasn't in the version I read today.

How he can pick De Gea over Hennessey baffles me though.

Optimistic as ever

Don't want to tempt fate but this lad really does look like the real deal..just oozes class and makes it look very easy.If he carries on like this he'll be in the England squad by the end of the season and the big boys will be circling for sure. Long contract so hopefully he'll want to stay and progress at SP but if he goes we'll get top dollar for him. Nathaniel Clyne was outstanding but took time to get there...this fella has been quality since the first minute he played last season against the spuds.

Sorry PJH, i can't agree with you there, Clyne showed his class from his very first game when Warnock played him out of desperation as all other choices for RB were injured, if i remember right, he never lost his place from that first game.

Patsy started well old geezer, but with respect that was in the championship. Obi-Wan has looked class straight away against Spuds, Man Yoo and Chelski.

A Wan B may well become a special player and I am pleased that he is CPFC through and through.
Time will tell how far he goes but the start is impressive!

As above - it seems to have changed following grief on Twitter.

Agree can see England calling before the end of the season if AWB keeps progressing and performing as he has done over the last 6 months or so. IMO he's better than Alexander Arnold..!!

We're well blessed with fullbacks PVA has been equally as outstanding over the same period, got me to thinking with Kayoute now on board reportedly a better central defender than defensive midfielder whether Roy considering going 5 at the back with wing backs, so;

Hennessey
AWB, Tomkins, Sakho, Kayoute, PVA
Milo, Meyer
Townsend, Benteke, Zaha

Just a thought..!!

smart move by Hodgson - play him , drop him and then get him to sign a 4 year contract - brilliant. he knew all along he was special.

F365 team of the week had Trent A-Arnold in, saying something along the lines of "All the other good FB performances came on the other flank" no mention whatsoever of AWB.

the nerve of it!

I might be wrong but I seem to remember him losing his place to Shaggy as Warnock wanted a known quantity rather than potential.

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

Standout memories of A-Arnold this weekend were a lot of wayward, overhit crosses from the right wing.

I like this in theory, at least as an option, although I do not know if the centeral players can perform. Also this would be where a player like Ings would be superior to Townsend, who is best played wide and providing crosses to Benteke

With us never yet losing a game with Tomkins and Sakho together in a back 4, I cannot see it happening for the time being
