Just a note on Fulham's defence: Le Marchand joined 1 month ago; Chambers and Bryan joined a few days ago.

Do you think that their new joiners are fitter than ours or that they're just winging it? I'm betting on the latter.

I think this is good team management by Roy. If I was part of the team that finished so strongly at the end of last season I would not be happy to be dropped before a ball has been kicked.

Roy has sent a message to the team keep performing and you keep your place. It's also a reminder to the new boys not to expect to walk into the team.

The problem is that they didn't really have much quality already, so had to stick the new boys straight in.

And the one survivor from last season in that defence, Christie, was of course second-choice behind Fredericks.

Yes I expected last season’s best available to start.

A shame Meyer and Ayew aren’t ready to be on the bench because the bench is weak and very defensive due to lack of options until others are available.

1 keeper and 4 more defensively minded players and then kouyate who’s obviously more defensive And Sørloth.

Why are Ayew and Meyer not ready?

Ayew has been with us for a day and Meyer didn't really have a pre season

Agreed, apparently they've six new starters today. Can't imagine they'll be well drilled yet, or even fit!

Hopefully we can get at them from the off and an early goal.

Expect Wilf to get on the core sheet.. Would love to see Patrick and Benteke also chip in.
