We went to Sardinia a couple of months ago and our return flight was delayed by over two hours as the cabin manager on the outbound flight from Luton threw a sickie and the only replacement that they could find on standby was in Paris so they had to fly him from Paris to Luton first. When it came to buying food or anything else on the flight the cabin manager didn't have any sterling as apparently the cabin manager is responsible for all of the cash and as he was in Paris he only bought Euros with him. If that wasn't enough we were sitting in the lounge at Aghero and watched a baggage trolley pass the window with the suitcases badly loaded and four suitcases fell off the back. Needless to say one of them was mine and it broke a wheel making it rather difficult to pull along. I don't think that I've ever flown on an Easyjet flight that's left on time but hope that our next Easyjet flight in three weeks time will break the cycle

They put us on the next flight (2 hour wait, and if there was enough room) free of charge. 3. Will never ever, ever fly BA again. A few experiences and too boring to tell. I can't imagine a scenario where you wouldn't have encountered the same problem with other airlines, it just happened to be BA ??

I've never missed a plane but I have missed a boat, story of my life perhaps but it was a day trip to Buologne I was 15 and introducing myself to alcohol, it upped and left as did the boat while I lay stricken. someone called my name on the register, they nearly turned the boat round but I got the next one. My teachers were not pleased

Not me but an elderly friend just last month. She and a girlfriend were booked Easyet to Faro Portugal. Got to Gatwick only to be told there was only 1 seat available. My friend took one for the team and watched her mate fly off. Next Easyjet flight was "days away". The staff then had a further look and exclaimed "oh look there was another seat available after all" She had zero assistance from Easyjet for an alternate flight and as she was going to an event she had to be there the next day. She got help from Airport information which meant travelling to Heathrow catching a flight to Lisbon and then a further flight to Faro and then a 1 hour taxi to her destination. She arrived that day very late and exhausted. All of which she had to pay out of her pocket. She has since received a refund of her flight tickets but nothing for taxi's and personal inconvenience etc. What annoyed me was the lack of help at the time, would it have killed the Easyjet staff to contact the other airlines? To be honest I was pleasantly surprised when I heard she had made it on her own steam, good for her. Anyway I hate Easyjet almost as much as Ryan Air.

In the October half term we generally fly to Alicante from one of the Midlands airports near us and the three flights tend to cost between £900 and £1,100 but this year we're driving down to Gatwick where three Easyjet flights will cost us £330 and that includes cases and seats prebooked. Two years ago we flew to Kefalonia from Manchester with Jet2 at a cost of £1,500 for the three of us whilst in three weeks time we are making the same trip with Easyjet from Manchester at only £950

I don't know anyone who has preferences over airlines, everyone just books the cheapest flights, these airlines are all the same, they all follow the easyjet business model Long haul is a bit different, best airline experience for me was Singapore Airlines

Airlines are like insurance when it goes wrong that's when you found out how good or bad they are.

I have quite often seen colleagues go from central London to Paddington in taxis for the Heathrow Express whilst I went on the tube to get the train off the Cross, and been back in Scotland before them. On a few occasions I was back at home when they were still at Heathrow. One time I did fly it was the second to last flight from Gatwick to Glasgow about five in the evening on a Friday. The aircraft taxied out to the runway, stood at the threshold, and then went tech. They went back to the apron and kept us sitting on the aircraft until eleven at night, whilst the last flight departed on time and so did a couple of Edinburgh ones; then hotelled us at Gatwick. I got back about eleven on the Saturday and got taken to Edinburgh instead of Glasgow which required a £60 taxi fare. Complained and asked for compensation, and they told me to f*** off because the flight did in fact run, albeit sixteen hours late. BA. And on the Sunday night I had to fly back down for another week in B****ton. Edited by chateauferret (21 Jul 2018 11.54pm)

Norwegian (I dont work for them) but work at Gatwick and their customer service knocks spots off Easyjet. I have also flown with them, very good. Also fly to several US destinations and Singapore, apparently very good prices.
