Why? He has proved that he's not up to the job at the top level with all of his many clubs so why would you want him back here to drag us down to his level

This.

That said, those around a talented youngster at the time have an awful lot to answer for.

Harsh, he was 15/16, and he made a mistake because of bad advice from those around him.

He has never come across as a tosser and never said anything bad about us despite the comments of our knobhead old chairman.

From everything that happened to him back them he got the worst out of it, not us, not spurs and not his knobhead of a dad.

If he kicks on and has a quality season in Ligue 1, proving his ability I would welcome him back with open arms. You’d have to be a bitter individual to think otherwise IMO.

The comments and advice of our 'knobhead old chairman' that was pretty much proven to be right at every point he made???

We were robbed of a decent price for a decent prospect and he ends up thrown on the scrapheap by a list of clubs. Had he stayed at Palace, he'd have played at least 3 games as a sub by now and would have had a steady career having been sold on to Stevenage.

Clinton is Clinton. I have known him for a long time, I know his mother... Simon Jordan

Good interview, comes across very well. I’m sure his dad was trying to do what’s best for him but sadly it didn’t work out. He’s had a sh1t time since and it seems to be making progress now.

If he has a decent season at Toulouse and proves he’s good enough, then why not have him back? It’s rare you have a player with genuine effection for the club. Hope he gets a good reception against Toulouse.

Came on as a sub for Forest against Millwall tonight. I thought he looked pretty good and should definitely start for them based on what I saw tonight. Also Ben Watson and Grabban on show. I can’t see them being good enough to go up
