I'd love to see Yarry Mina in a Palace shirt.

Colombia's most consistent performer in the WC, tough to play against at both ends of the pitch.

Well I think Simon's head is large; always involved in espionage. (Name that tune)

He would not be cheap Barcelona paid 11 million I think and his wc Performances will mean that has gone up

Am sure I read Barca are looking for circa 30mil. Definitely don’t need to be spending that type of money (or any at all) on a centre half.

Do like him though.

So do I the other player who has impressed me is Pavard, of France but again out of our price range. In my view we need a few solid EPL level players to increase depth of squad and not to spend most of our money on 1 player as we have in last few windows eg Benteke, Sakho

1 goal, 2 assists. Has really played well in the world cup so far. Attracting interest from chelsea.

Cost- Roughly £15 mil

He is a CM so would serve as a good replacement for Cabaye who recently left, and add a bit of a spark to our midfield options

Hirving Lozano- Mexican Winger, can play on both wings.
1 goal 1 assist in 4 games which isn't bad. However, his time at PSV is certainly worth a mention. at 22 years of age, he is becoming quite the hot prospect, with big clubs looking to snatch him up. A possible signing? Unlikely, both would love to see him as a Townsend replacement.

Cost- £20 Mil on a good day

Could be the answer to our attacking worries, definitely would take pressure off Zaha.

Loftus-Cheek- English CM

He had a brilliant spell at Palace, looks great during the world cup despite his first appearance. Ruben and Wilf played together brilliantly. With Chelsea constantly looking for new midfielders, I wouldn't be surprised if we would be able to buy him at some point if not loan him again.

Cost- £10-15 mil, maybe more if England win the world cup.

Again, we need midfielders badly. Maybe he is the answer?

Just some of many, Claesson and Forsberg are some notable mentions.

Hello there! Interesting players, but honestly, the prices you give are very low.

Golovin is wanted by Arsenal and Juventus. We're looking at a 30 million fee.

Lozano has been spotted by non other than Bayern Munchen after the Germany goal, probably over 20 million for him, if not more.

Loftus Cheek will cost more than 30 million, English players cost that much. Especially at his age.

Good cal, on Claesson, he could actually be within Palace's reach, really solid winger in the Russian league, maybe the best there. Forsberg not in Palace's reach though.

This thread has gone way off track. The only bargains you will get from WC players is those that have under-performed

I think we’re just all a bit desperate at this point.

I’ve never seen transfer talk so inactive during a window. It’s mental.

Is this reply meant against my and hellzdoms' suggestion of the Swedish player Claesson playing in the Russian league? Cause he'actually pretty good. Not only his 2 assists and 1 goal so far at the World Cup, but also the fact that he's stormed the Russian league since arriving. He's very fast and strong too, very good for a winger. Has good assist and goals numbers as well. Rather unknown at FC Krasnodar, but it's in fact a pretty serious and solud team. He would be good in the PL and is a cost effective option available for a team such as Palace.

Might get some stick for this but Gen Shoji looked like some player for Japan, especially against Belgium. 25 years old so may be a bit old relatively speaking, because he still only plays in the J-League for Kashima Antlers, but wouldn't argue against signing him to compete for the CB position.

Giroud? He's big, strong and rarely scores. Sounds perfect for us! (Forgive my saracasm)
