Well you need an extra defender behind him then as he won't do any tracking back. He was up for it yesterday. When playing as a mercenary for a club like ours he will only be occasionally up for it. So not sure what a NED is but I must be one then. Originally posted by bashy2
swap him for Townsend

Not something I'd level at you DEJ, but I have an idea who the NE bit might apply to

He comes a cross as a bit of a tit... Obviously bags of talent but I doubt he’d work hard enough for the team. Crazy I know but i’d likely avoid... Although that being said he could be amazing for us... imagine defenders trying to stop him and zaha... they literally would have a chance. Low buy out clause actually means it’s risk free. Could imagine it’s a bargain Spurs will be looking at. But if not then yeah I guess I’ve changed my mind in on post. Sign him up!

Well, that game did him no harm. I created a thread sometime ago with the suggestion of going in for him.

Or actually maybe you don’t; maybe you mean they would have just one chance of stopping them per game....in which case we will be Champions League winners in 2 years

No chance due to the transfer fee. £20 million for Maddison to Leicester. With his World Cup performances he will be out of sight.

I’d suspect if he’s out of sight now it would be more down to us procrastinating before the World Cup, unless he himself said he wanted to wait. He’s Townsend on steroids but is a versatile player too and can finish. In Roys narrow 442, I don’t see any reason we couldn’t keep Andros in as the tracking back work horse and have him and Wilf causing utter havoc up top. Bring a Benteke upgrade in as well with potential to improve and all of a sudden we have all sorts of options going forward. We have plenty of hard working players already. Players like Shaqiri are a rarer breed, especially for a club like us. The sheer audacity he has with some of the finishes he attempts sometimes is crazy. And as I said before, he’s a player with the ability to change a game in a moment.
