Nice start, Liverpool home 2nd game will always give us a chance of an early upset and a nice run of winnable games after that could throw us up the table. Comfortable run in as well just encase we need it!

Include the 27th Oct Vs Arsenal and thats 4 of The top 6 on the trot

...followed by Burnley on 1st Dec which Makes it 5 of last seasons top 7 one after another. Thats some run to get out Of the way

Hmmm, I’m sure I remember similar comments almost exactly a year ago

Difference is now we have a decent manager.

Two gripes, purely personal ones though - I didn't want a home fixture for Boxing Day with a minimal or no train travel, and it also being a family day for me.

Secondly, as always happens when you have a commitment you can't avoid (this time a wedding), there is a home game. However, being the Arsenal match there is always a chance it might get moved to Sunday or Monday.

What a great birthday present it would be if Palace beat the Spuds on 10 November.

Understand there are no weak games however 7 of the first 8 plus the last 3 of the season are all be games we should be looking to get points.

If we can hit the season running unlike last year then with this fixture list we could potentially be like Watford and gain most of our points by Christmas.

Then again, this is Palace.

Cant wait.

Assuming Burnley make the group stage of the Europa League, that will bump our game with them on Dec 1st to the Sunday at least.

If that happens hopefully they will shunt the Brighton game to the Weds night, or its two games in 3 days again.

Away to the 'weed midweek in December. What could possibly go wrong with that?

Here's a suggestion, Have the club put on as as many away travel coaches as they can to accommodate the majority of travelling supporters. It might also be an idea to bring a few of South Norwood's finest to make sure there's no trouble with the Sussex lot.

Most of my Fulham mates are quite conflicted about Palace since they still LOVE Roy!!!! They are already talking about giving him a hero's welcome for the first game!

Not actually that bad an idea. Swansea v Cardiff have been doing for years. If you're an away fan going to the game you MUST travel on supporters coaches. The coaches are escorted along the motorway by plod then back again after the game.

Anyone who turns up with a match ticket but didn't travel on the official supporters coaches isn't allowed in.

Pretty effective if you ask me.

Leeds make Millwall do this so most of the "boys" don't go. The police meet the coaches at a service station with the tickets. Problem is that the Yorkshire police like to play games with the genuine fans. All sorts of stories about the coaches arriving late at the ground not allowed in any pubs etc. Some of the fans I have spoken to said "never again" wasn't a good day out and they are not hooligans.
