Off to Southampton ....CLUBS AGREE ARMSTRONG FEE

Celtic and Southampton agree fee for Scotland midfielder Stuart Armstrong, Sky Sports News understands.

The player is now discussing terms. Armstrong signed new two-year contract last summer and only has a year left on his current deal.

He'll probably end up being brilliant while we will still be posting in Transfer talk about how he's not good enough for us.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Yet another transfer prospect who goes somewhere else. Fees like same old, same old.....I suppose we should be patient and trust the management knows what it is doing.

I do love the way so many folk immediately start on the "missed another one" or "we're crap at transfers" because a player signs for another club after someone, somewhere has put an unsubstantiated 'report' on the interweb somewhere that we were interested/talking to them.

Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five!

The problem that we have with our midfielder transfer policy is that it all depends on whether Cabaye signs on again and whether we can nab Loftus-Cheek on loan again and until we know where we stand with those two it's difficult to know who we need to recruit

I would have thought Cabaye will be sorted this week as he stops being paid as his contract runs out. RLC will take longer until World cup for England is over at best

It must be hugely frustrating for Roy as he can't really start planning his recruitment drive

Waiting to see 'what if' or 'what might,' is a dangerous game
If we hold off hoping for something better we will end up in our usual rush and end up with nothing or panic buys.

We far to often only react as the ships sail into the sunset.
