You're taking the wrong thing out of my comment. It doesn;t matter if Sir Alex was asked to step down because of that (maybe it's just an impression I have, not about his last season as champion, but about everything in his last years at United, which made fans wishing for more offensive football and not playing Wes Brown or O'shea there instead of Rafael for example. It was an ongoing discussion back then).

The point was that the players are not good on 3 or more positions. Let's not derail the thread talking about Ferguson.

Yes, as coldsoneagle pointed out, there are some players like Milner or Azpilicueta who play very well wherever you put them, but these are rarities.
They are very strong and very fast and would be good anywhere in defense or in defensive midfield. Disagree about Moses or Dier or Daley Blind though.

I can understand your desire to deflect attention away from what was a categoric statement which you now state is an "Impression".

But you have made your view patently clear about players who perform in a variety of positions and of course opinions are open to scrutiny.
Depends on the player of course and versatility is often portrayed as a positive rather than a negative in respect of certain individuals.

Read the last sentence. It's just the way I remember it, having lived through those times

Ok mattteo, I can understand why you want to move on from that comment.

It seems like Brighton are stepping up the hunt for him anyway.
