Dodgy keeper; dodgy keeper. Liverpool = One Man Team
Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes) |

Not sure why it is any more lucky than any other shot. To me it was just a great goal. The ball came behind Bale because of a deflection but the skill with that shot is to stop the ball going into row Z because you obviously can't get your body over it. Fantastic technique but you don't have that much control over where the ball goes so you do need some luck (or a s*** keeper - check).

Last season I often thought he was s*** and mentioned his name whenever Hennessey was getting slagged off. This season he's been a lot more solid but tonight has been about the worst keeper performance I've seen at this level in a long time - made Green look like ter Stegen. F***ing s*** and basically man of the match for Real.

I imagine Karius will be available for a reasonable price

The solution, according to the BT commentators...”Liverpool need to buy some more players”. How much have they spent in the last (say) 3 years??

Someone’s been at Karius’s Wiki page already! Attachment: 82CAD7E4-80DB-4431-97C6-3FA38E002ED5.jpeg (162.52Kb)

I'm only guessing, as I was a centre half and wouldn't have scored a goal like that if I had carried on playing for the next 100 years, but I'd imagine they practice trying those types of things and would have a good idea where they are in relation to the goal. That is why I really don't think it was any more lucky than a free kick round the wall from 30 yards. It's just really skillful. Perhaps we should put a sneaky bid in for him
