Considering the price of Sigurdsson and similarities of both players in their ability to find a forward pass and create chances I would suggest that £30m is a snip for someone of the age of RLC.

I think Gylfi is a more rounded player with a long range cannon, but similar option in AM role.

So I manage a Workshop which provides a safe learning environment for blokes struggling with PTSD and other mental health issues. Being a Palace fan isn't listed yet.

He wasn;t that great....

Lots of shady games and 1-2 good games. But he left a good impression in his last matches, so everyone just remembers those.

I'd take him if he was cheap, but in no way he will be. And he didn't do that much to deserve an investement of 30+ million.

He improved significantly throughout the season and put his heart into his game when he came back from injury. He needs to play rather than keep the bench warm for Chelsea and he knows it. I reckon he'll be loaned out for another season rather than sold.

Wasn’t there talk of an ongoing back problem, which was why Chelsea wanted to see if he could stand up to the rigours of a full season.

has resisted writing a single post on the Ross McCormack thread !!!

Agree, whilst finishing the season well, he was not in the team when we turned things around beginning of Jan. City , Burnley Southampton, he’s decent but not one we should bust our budget on. Beat Chelsea as well without him. Chelsea are making a mistake if they think he’s the midfield saviour they desperately need to get a CL spot.

I think he’s perfect for a club our size but he’s not good enough or consistent enough to play for Chelsea. He will play week in week out for us.

He had a fabulous end-of-season run and was very important in several of our five wins.

I’d say he’s worth comfortably £30m now and potentially £50m if he has a good World Cup. Zero chance we’d be able to sign him.
