his poor scoring form has improved other aspects of his play IMO as it's forced him to try harder in other areas... more assists lately and a more combative player (I know others will disagree on the latter point). if he finds the net again maybe things will turn up. stranger things have happened!

Tbf to benteke he deserves is call up imo. Belgium have three different types of striker who can all score goals. He is as good as any in the air and will be a good option off the bench.

I agree with him being an option from the bench because he doesn’t suit Palace or Belgium’s players or football played and he’s a very expensive bench option.

Same for me, apart from the knocks us out part.

I'd like him to score a hat-trick in a game that's a dead rubber for both of us, as well as bringing back the golden boot.

Not so sure they are poor in depth, there are about 20 Belgian players who would make England's first 11, which is also a bit of a sad indictment of our policy of not bringing our top youngsters through from promising starts to their careers.
