I'm speaking about the idea of Israel as a promised land specifically. We all know about other religious fantasies.
I have no time for any religion, especially ones that preach violence. Currently, Israel is using excessive violence. They don't get special dispensation just for being Jewish by my reckoning.

I've thought about this quite a lot....they are probably right. Their opponents will never accept Israel.

I agree with this. Israel is in a position where the best thing they can do is rid themselves of the Arab population. It's a disgusting display of the worst kind of human behaviour from both sides with one being the superior force.
The whole situation should not have arisen in the first place and we have to take our share of responsibility for that.

This rubbish pretty much paraphrases what Israel has said. It's funny how, since 9/11, despotic regimes justify tyranny by describing their victims as terrorists. They have claimed that there has been bombs Molotov cocktails, gunfire and all sorts. Seriously, the IDF must have a thousand cctv cameras trained on the protesters. Had there been so much as a hint of anything but some rocks being chucked the whole world would have seen it in another Netanyahu TV presentation. It's all such obvious cobblers. The actions are wholly disproprtionate and criminally wrong. And they will get away with it with American support.
