Same as the last couple of seasons - give the ball to Wilf (assuming he is still here)

There are people serious suggesting that we go three at the back again? Thank the Lord that Roy's in charge! And Benteke will be here next season because (1) we don't have unlimited funds to refill positions that are already covered and (2) if we had just two strikers (one of whom was Wickham), Sorloth would be the only striker available for most, if not all, of the season.
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

4-5-1/4-4-2 mash up, leaning more toward the latter when trying to twist in a game and the latter when trying to stick. From everything I've seen, Roy likes a well-manned midfield and tends only to forgo that when risk taking is needed and/or he thinks we're well on top.
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |

I’d love shakiri, imagine a bench being able to choose between Andros or him. That’s what we should aim for, if possible. We do need another winger but not as much as a pacey striker

When we are pressed back we need an out ball and Zaha and Townsend aren't going to be effective at that. Also, at least in our last two games, we didn't score until Benteke came on Personally, I think we should look at 3 at the back as an option. I love PVA appearing on the right hand side of the opponent's box to score goals but it does leave us more vulnerable defensively. Both he and AWB are more natural wing-backs Assuming we are losing Cabaye and the loan players I'd like to see this as an option Goaly AWB Luka McArthur PVA Townsend Zaha Benteke/Wickham Ideally, upgrades for Townsend(Ings/Barkley) and McArthur but they would suffice and along with Schlupp, No2 Goaly, Kelly, Ward/Riedewald and Wickham/Benteke would give us a much stronger bench 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 3 at the back has been dreadful everytime we've tried it in the PL. Play the team above but instead of the new centre back put another CM in. RLC if we can buy him.

What Roy has been good at, is being creative with the personnel we've had available. The end of the season had us playing some amazing fluid football, but lose Zaha and RLC and we would probably go in a different direction. I think the system will depend on who we have, and while Roy will have ideas of how he wants to play, he's not wed to a system that won't suit (like someone else).

If Zaha goes back to playing on the wing I would like it if he 'cut in' more towards the penalty area rather than continuing further down the wing. With the position he played at the end of the season he I'm sure he would like the idea of getting in the penalty area ASAP.
The pyramid to beat all pyramids!! Find out what team is in which division, eg which division is Coppull United in? |

Would love to scoop McClean from WBA rather than Shaqiri- he is stronger and runs much harder with a tremendous work rate. That way we could start zaha up top with either ben or sorloth and have townsend and mcclean on the wings running non stop all match long!
