I've spoken to damo a few times as maintain the building he lives in.
I was stressed about our position back in december and showed him my ST to prove I wasn't just stalking him
He categorically said DON'T WORRY WE WON'T BE GOING DOWN.
And the rest is history
Top bloke even did an autograph for my sister in law.
Wish him best of luck in whatever he goes on to do.
Thanks damo.

he has been a hero many times for us and I'm sad that we lose such a great character but even he must be amazed as his resurrection at Palace and that he sustained it for so long. I noticed Ramage and Moxey both commented on his tweet - two more players that showed spirit and carried us through certain times. Thanks for your contribution Damo and I hops his character has rubbed off on some of the youngsters

DD has been immense we owe him so much.

When he arrived we couldn't win a game yet with him at the back at Bolaise assisting Wilf on the wings we suddenly became transformed.

Won 1st game v Sheff Wed and rest is history.

Tears at Wembley showed us all what it meant to him - we love u DD.

What I massively admire in him is the way he changed his game.

I thought he might struggle in Prem but he adapted his game, often backing off to give himself a year rather than lunging in etc.

Probably stayed one year too long but think he deserved a year to transition!!

Well done DD and thanks for the memories

The Palace spirit epitomised in one player. Thanks for everything Damo and good luck in whatever/wherever your life takes you, you'll always have a warm welcome waiting for you back at SP.

I echo all the plaudits given to DD. A great character and battler, and always gave of his best. Time has caught up with him but I'm sure he will retire happily knowing that he got several more years out of the game than he expected.

Also, let's not forget that it was Damo's shot, albeit deflected, that set us on our way to screwing Liverpool's chance of the title on that memorable night in May 2014.

Not been announced that he has, but he was pretty much done with football before he came to us.

Optimistic as ever

I believe he has. I heard a rumour that he will retire from professional football completely but may well play for a club where he trains once a week and plays the same, but at a club where he can make a difference.

I sincerely hope he can find such a place.

Taking the bungy jump since 1964. Never to see John Jackson in a shirt again

Sorry to see Lee Hills go, did we ever see Alex Marrow? We did January 2013
