If this is true then it would be no risk whatsoever.
Is this a five minute argument, or the full half hour? [Link] |

And if his club are not satisfied with his performances, he will pay back half his wages, or the club can cancel his contract immediately, with no compensation." Wouldn't it be great if other players thought like this. Why stop at half, lol ?

If this is true then it would be no risk whatsoever. It would be disruptive to the squad. Instead of having a player for the future playing those minutes and getting adjusted to the squad, you insert Yaya Toure in for a short period of time. And he'll be slow and unable to cope defensively 100%. So 100% he'll do bad in any club he goes to if it's in the PL, even more to lower table ones where defense is key. So that will be impressive wages paid (even if it's half) for poor performances that will attract fans to the stadium at first, but eventually will more disrupt the team. I wouldn't want his old legs anywhere near the pitch. I respect what he's done as a player and perhaps he'd make a good trainer/coach, but it's time to hang the boots. Hahahahahaha Good one. Guys on close to 200k and is one of the most mercenary players to have ever graced the PL. Not digging the bloke, fair play to him but all he cares about is money. He could go to China or the MLS for huge money and barely have to work hard to be a success. There is no way I’d want him even if we had that sort of cash. I think I read somewhere, maybe BBC Sport, that he has said that if a club is not happy with his performance he will refund half his wages. Would be interesting to see what the performance criteria were. I'd sign him and then set the criteria at 12 goals and 14 assists. Edit: apologies to the earlier posts regarding this information - I posted before I got to page 2. Edited by Direwolf (09 May 2018 7.42pm)

No thanks, smacks of being a West Ham signing,
We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold... |

I am hoping we have no interest in him at all. He is class but well past his sell-by date IMO.

34, expensive and not playing much. I’d rather have Murray back even with the court case.....

we could do a lot worse thab have him for a season, cabaye excelled despite the fact his legs are going...yaya still has the brain & passing ability to play in the top flight.
