Just hope that RH signs a new contract and then Roy Dougie & SP all agree on squad replacements, transfer targets and then get some quality business done a little earlier for a change!

I am disappointed RH said that, it is not necessary at this stage, the job is not quite done and we don't want the players to be distracted. May be a slip nobody is perfect. The loanees well it is the parent club that decides I guess. Bullsh1t. Anyone can see that our recent transfer dealings have fallen well short of what's been needed. Roy should be putting it out there and putting pressure on the board to get things right this time. We are in the best position we've been in for years to kick on in the Prem. It's glaringly obvious where we need to improve the first team. We have a decent, consistent manager. It's all there to make the most of the opportunity.

Roy is a manager. Unlike many of those we have recently had, he recognises that he has done half a job (keeping us up) superbly. I cannot wait for him to focus on the second half (a season without relegation worries, and a great deal of development of players). COYP

Roy is 70, the oldest manager in the PL, and I'd imagine that this will be his last full time job. Assuming that next season is successful I would like to see him stay longer but he can't need the money and may fancy retirement. In addition to the two loan players, there are plenty of big names who we wont see next season who will need replacing. I'm expecting another tough transfer window.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |

RLC and TFM will be gone and with RLC we will be priced out of buying him. There is talk on the BBS of Cabaye and Ward going, potentially Hennessey as well. We need a very good window if we are to avoid another fight.
The ups and downs of Palace have left me older than my years |

Yes, could someone please enlighten me as to what Dougie Freedman actually does on a day to day basis? Reminisces with parish over the stockport goal.

In terms of losing good players it will be cabaye, Macca, RLC, ward and possibly Wilf, possibly Hennessy and possibly Benteke if a good offer comes in. Will need a skillful operator in the transfer market to deal with that. I don't agree, Cabaye, yes, a strong possibility, Macca, i don't think so, i know he loves Ranger's, but it would be a cut in wages, plus we could/should offer him more money after the season he has had. R.L.C , think we have a good chance of getting him on loan for another season, no chance of signing him, Ward has a serious injury, no one will sign him even for free, his only option is to sign for Palace for another year, Hennessy is already discussing a new contract if reports are true, Wilf has said he is staying, Benteke, maybe yes, maybe no purely gut feeling is he will stay, just depends if Palace want to or can sell him

It doesn't. He signed a new 4 year deal in 2016 and, as he said himself recently, he loves it here & is going nowehere (if the gaffer still wants him).
