Imagine the deliberations..."Oooh, Betty, can we stretch to an extra 80p to get one of the best seats?"

"£2!!!! How much for restricted view?"

f***ing daft having it in the same city 2 days before as all the associated costs will be disproportionate in the extreme.

Imagine a T-shirt:

"My friend took me to Ukraine to see a load of fit women...and all I got was a £2 ticket to the Women's Champions League Final. Plus this lousy T-shirt!"

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

They should've appointed Clattenburg as ref and made him get a memorial tattoo like his other ones. A full back one the size of Ben Affleck's.

2020 final is a choice between Turkey and Lisbon, so you might get to do both in a couple of years

And you know if it ever happened it would probably end up being a Scottish team, as sod's law.

Yes. Absolutely. Once in a lifetime opportunity. Would have paid up to £2k for an FA Cup ticket in 2016. Thankfully I didn’t have to.

The problem is that if we ever did get into Europe, we would expect each round to be our last so will have forked out for and attended all the other matches too.

Even if it meant relegation, I would have loved to have gone on Fulham's European run. However I but would have probably blown my budget visiting Lithuania in the qualifying round and missing out on trips to Basel, Roma, Juve and German for the quarter, semi and finals.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

I presume prices are still cheap around the quarter final stage? Unless they go up as soon as the host nation knows they are hosting the final.

If it is still cheap around QF, in the highliy unlikely event Palace get a favourable draw and we are playing incredible football with out £100 billion team I'd probably buy then.

When we are knocked out by the underdogs Man Utd and their fans are chanting "we support our local team" at us, I'd sell the tickets are the semi-finals and hopefully make at least my money back.

Costs will be going up even further for the 3 planes of Liverpool fans who have just had their flights cancelled.
