I love the advertiser and before the internet that was the source of my Palace news. A lot on here slated the Advertiser, but namely young kids who have only know the internet. I truly hope it keeps going as that will be another part of my childhood that has disappeared. Used to do a paper round too, but mine was the news shopper. I used to dump it now and then when there was no Palace news
Some people are like Slinkies … not really good for anything, but you can’t help smiling when you see one tumble down the stairs. |

As a paper, for Palace news, it was always decent.

Truly capable Journalists and writers head to the big smoke for a bigger named rag as the quality options are few and they are more like gold dust. (Yes even the Sun employs quality people - they just destroy their soul).
So I manage a Workshop which provides a safe learning environment for blokes struggling with PTSD and other mental health issues. Being a Palace fan isn't listed yet. |

I used to dump it now and then when there was no Palace news I am in my mid 40s and for a long period of my life, the Adder made Friday mornings special. Now it churns out too much low quality content in the mindless pursuit of clicks to sell adverts. 'This Palace striker has major injury' type thing, and it's someone in the youth team who pulled a hamstring. It's sad more than anything else, but I guess collateral damage from the internet. They do the odd decent story but it gets lost in the spam.
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |

The online stuff is s***. It regurgitates the same story time after time after time. They get about 40 stories out of a press conference with 30 being the same thing. Good riddance

As a lot have said, The Addy WAS the place to go for Palace and local news back in the day. Unfortunately, the 24 hr news that we now have, be t on tv or the net , is killing off newspapers. What you read on a friday in the Addy is news from during the week and we've all heard it. Sadly, the website is a generic site for most local papers and so follows a sh1tty theme of being funded by a ridiculous amount of ads all the time. That combined with some of the frankly amateurish journalism is a lot of the stories, means it all comes through very weakly.

I used to love a bender at the Wimpy bar. Then there was the ‘Brown Derby’ which I always thought sounded a bit dodgy too. “I’m going out to get a Bender and some Brown Derby” just doesn’t sound right. Edited by YT (07 May 2018 4.40pm)

It’s redundant for Palace news now days since every story breaks on the internet as the story happens.
