One of my bets was a 3-0 win, so at 4-0 I was out of the game.
But, if I had a bet on 5-0 I would have been screaming NO NO NO! Do not let Benteke take the penalty!!
I not so sure Roy was happy with him taking it from the look on his face.

According to Roy’s post-match he asked for Benteke to take it.

Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five!

If the Leicester G/K( who had a poor game) had stood still for the penalty he would have saved it.

It was a poor penalty kick.

How many did AJ score by putting them right down the middle?

Was very pleased he didn't try to place it. Decent penalty.

From Roy's interview on Eagles.cpfc the bench "suggested" the idea to Luka but ultimately it was his decision.

and our captain made the correct decision.

The message was passed through Joel Ward for Benteke to take it.

You could sense that it wasn’t going to be a Luka penalty, even his own body langauge suggested as much. Perhaps it was the fact that Benteke had won the penalty himself, perhaps it was the score line.

As Luka picked up the ball and walked hesitantly towarsd the spot, Joel Ward walked from outside the box and seemed to convey a message from the dugout and Luka immediately handed the ball to Christian.

I think it showed great courage from Benteke and speaks volumes for Luka’s captaincy, leadership and maturity. We saw a real team performance today. Playing for each other and with great team spirit.

No. No, it wasn't.

Goalkeepers are generally taught to dive one way or the other. It takes a little brass to lace one down the middle but it's probably one of the higher percentage plays from the spot. As long as the keeper doesn't suspect you have a tendency to do it, you're more than likely to score.

No penalty kick that hits the back of the net can be called a poor penalty.
