Assuming we stay in Premier League, there will be some tough decisions to make on out-of-contract players I have added the ranking in terms of minutes played for us so far this season - excluding loan players "Crystal Palace have an entire team who could be free agents next summer, including Julian Speroni(15), Damien Delaney(22), Yohan Cabaye(7), James McArthur(5), Wayne Hennessey, Bakary Sako(1, Joel Ward(12), Martin Kelly(14), Chung-Yong Lee(21) and Freddie Ladapo(24)" A lot depends on whether the Getafe goalie comes, and any other irons in the fire, but assuming he does this is my take Adieu: Delaney, Lee, Ladapo In an ideal world, these are all bench players at best next year but you would think we would want at absolute minimum 1 of each McArthur/Cabaye; Speroni/Hennessey; Kelly/Ward to stay Good post an agree with most of your analysis. IMO we cannot afford to lose Cabaye. He is our playmaker. When he's not on the pitch our ball retention and passing is awful. Hopefully no French team can afford to match our (reduced offer) I'd only give him 2 years max but unless we have a ready made ball playing midfielder (Jonny William s where are you?) We need to keep him and (obvs McArthur). I would also like Ward to stay another season. We can have him as back up to AWB.

Cheeky bid for cheek, pay mcarthur well to keep him or he, s gone for nothing. Defensively in good shape . Maybe 1 in . Tekkers will stay nobody will buy him for the price we’ll ask for him. Our focus is clearly on midfield, and not giving this division a 7 game start over us.

When will our two January signings who haven't even made it to the bench be included in the reckoning?

I really think the players we've got can really push us on next season, especially if Roy is still at the helm. There seems to a good comaradory between the players and imho I would solely focus on a replacement for Benteke.

Henners is gone, as fans our treatment of him has just been horrible, every interview he gives he basicly says 'i know the fans hate me but im working hard to try to win them over' actually really feel for him. He deserves to be at a club that appreciate him, rather than 25'000 fans hissing at him for not being a new goalie... He does seem to want to stay in that sense. I think the management and very much SP have a very hard decision. WH main problem is that he is not Julian and this has resulted in the horrible behaviour by some fans. He is a competent EPL goalkeeper not the best but can we afford better? Julian is past his best and it is time he left the club. SP often seems to let sentiment overcome business logic eg appointment of Pardew, Salako,Freedman the signing AJ for a last contract and renewing Johhny Williams, Mcarthy etc. While Julian is at Club our goalkeepers will always be compared to him at his peak and this has resulted in players being abused and can not continue. SP has to decide that although a great servant Julian has been, it is time to part ways. I am afraid that this logic also applies to a front line coaching role maybe he would like to go elsewhere for a short period and then comeback as a coach?

This is the biggest summer for the club in many a year. We need to set a price for Wilf and a deadline by when it needs to be hit. We need an early confirmation from Roy that he wants to stay. We need to work through all the out-of-contract players fast and work out which want the shilling we're willing to offer, and which don't. We have a world cup to contend with and a window that shuts on Aug 9. With so many variables and so little time, we could be in serious trouble if we don't make fast, good decisions. All this, and I personally am assuming our net transfer budget won't be vast given recent expenditure.

I’m pretty sure that he could slip into a coaching role without it effecting peoples views of the first team goalie. With Dean Kiely in place he would only be coaching the U23’s or younger anyway for the time being.

I don't worry about the stadium so much. I think it'll be possible to ring fence that. I just think we must be close to an FFP breach (I know most others disagree)

Look at some of the players who have hung about even when they are no way near the 1st team, happy to bide their time with a healthy wage packet.
