Just seen that now on MoTD and absolutely obvious that it is 100% a nailed on penalty all day long. And even if you think it isn't how can Wilf help going over there? He's tripped by Mariappa and if he tries to stay on his feet he falls over the defender in front of him.

Absolutely f***ing preposterous and outrageous decision.

I suspect that 1st half incident hardly helped his cause and yes no doubt the bad press must create a negative too even if it shouldn't.

We all know how refs can be influenced by big names and clubs .

Must be time for Parrish to complain to the Premier league about the treatmentof Wilf week after week, entire teams rotationally fouling him and him getting no protection from the so called cheating referees! Watford today were a f***ing disgrace, all in the refs face claiming dives, and basically kicking lumps out of him, topped off by the watford twwat running 30 yards and pushing Wilf, in full view of the ref and no card because he was already on a yellow, how is that right??? Only by a corrupt or incompetent( or both) referee playing to orders!

We had Kevin Pundit on Match of the Day just now, criticising Wilf for the way he fell when he actually was fouled (as adjudged by the ref and conceded by Kevin Shallow-Pundit).

So, he's damned win whatever he does.

It shows the ridiculous herd mentality.

The Ref desperately wanted to be part of the herd, so he books Wilf for simulation even when there was a clear case for a penalty.

And Kevin Pundit is clearly dying to get in on the act, running in front of the parade and pretending to be leading it. So he chose to criticise Wilf doe the way he landed when he was fouled. As if Wilf was cheating the laws of physics.

See the match thread. He's made an excuse that he's leaving early to go abroad so went to bed without seeing the incident, and therefore, having commented on it by cutting and pasting a paragraph from the PGMOL website, wasn't going to comment on it. You don't need me to tell you what was the substance of the paragraph in question.

Sockpuppet.

Like Roy and others I am concerned about rotational fouling, and the fact that opposition teams seem to get away with it.

Could it be that we have been classified as a dirty team, needing to be dealt with more severely.

In the Watford match the BBC report mentions 13 Palace fouls and 17 Watford fouls. That does not carry through to bookings where the score (Palace first) is 5-3. Going back we have 3-2, 2-2, 2-2, and 2-3, which is the Huddersfield (a known physical rotational fouling team). It may be useful for some statistics to be given to the League. COYP.

And players constantly in his ear after every tackle/foul. What ever way you dress it up, Wilf is being branded a cheat/disgrace whereas the only disgrace yesterday was to actions of your team. Rotational fouling, running 40 yards to push a player (how could he see whether it was a dive or not?)

Impressed by Roy's post match discussion. It's a penalty all day long and he keeps calm and alludes to such.
A good point well earned - amazing what we have achieved since the fdb debacle. Parish, invest in the squad please.

Yes I did say Doucoure was lucky in that incident.

Even some of our own players pointed it out to him..

I can't believe that even a s*** referee would do nothing about that. He rushed over there just to start a fight and try to provoke Zaha. He put his hands on him which ough to be violent conduct, but even if you don't think that it's perfectly obviously unsportsmanlike behaviour and could only serve to inflame matters. I think he should have gone, but Kavanagh didn't even caution him and I think didn't even speak to him about it despite having been given a full account of the matter by Milivojevic.

The ref was completely s*** (as previously pointed out) and Watford players could see this and spent the whole match trying to exploit that. Both he and they were a disgrace to football.
