Well so are Israel but I don't think UEFA would give them a fair crack! Not that I think they're going to give Turkey one, they've just let them bid for it. A bit like us with FIFA for 2022.

UEFA would host the CL final in America if someone paid them enough.

It's only a matter of time. Although Shanghai, Singapore or Azerbaijan are just as likely.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Exactly. All I was referring to was the ‘Asia’ reference. I was trying to avoid geopolitical fall-out.

Personally I don’t give a f^ck where the Euros or the CL final are held. Regarding the former, I wouldn’t cross the road to watch England at my local park, even if they were offering free beer as an incentive. In the case of the latter, I’m realistic enough to conlude that Palace will never get there!

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

Your local park? Abroad is it?

Azerbaijan maybe. I can't see the other two hosting it as kick off would need to be in the middle of the night.

Even in the USA it would only really work on the east coast. 2-3pm local time.

Yep. No interest at all in the England team any more (and this is someone who watched the '66 WCF live on the telly...who cried when W Germany knocked England out in 1970, and again when England failed to qualify for 1974 etc etc etc)

It is typically Palace that the only time we where in Europe we want out to Samsunspor in Asia.

There was of course the Anglo-Italian cup of 1971, where we were unbeaten home and away against Inter Milan, including a victory at the San Siro.
