Don't confuse speculation with news! Since barely anyone could be bothered us losing the FA cup tie I have to say I care less who will be below us comes May 13th. As long as it's at least 3 teams at least! Originally posted by Jacey
After their home defeat yesterday, they have a difficult trip to Huddersfield where a draw looks the likely outcome.

I think they will beat Huddersfield and pretty much make themselves safe. That is a good result for us I think as they will not be desperate when they play us and it stuffs Huddersfield.

Agree! In this bottom madness it is hard to judge which results are in our favor but think you are spot on. Originally posted by Direwolf

Well they didn’t beat Huddersfield, lost a key midfielder in the process, missed a golden opportunity to see off any relegation dramas. They now walk into carnage. Place yourself in their situation, 7 clear of Southampton who looked a danger throughout yesterday. You then look at away fixtures at Palace , Burnley , Man City , Liverpool. Home to Spurs and Man U. We’d be bricking it. Can see Southampton getting 7 from the 18 available. Couldn’t help notice the reaction of the Brighton players after the final whistle on Saturday, most slumped on the pitch in utter disappointment looking like they’ve just lost a cup final or just been relegated. They know it was a must win, they’ve failed the one glorious chance they had to secure another season. I’ve jumped on the 20-1 relegation odds , it won’t be around for long. Get on it.

Brighton: 7 goals scored in 15 PL away games this season. 10 points out of the 45 available. Just saying.
Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes) |

I still think Brighton are safe on 35 points. The form of all of the teams below them is poor (3 wins from 35 games between them). If they were 4th from bottom then they should be worried but there are just too many teams there. I hope they get no points for the rest of the season and finish below Palace but just can't see them being relegated this season. Next season will be tougher for them, hopefully they will be relegated then. On Saturday I expect them to play for a 0-0 draw and hope to get something on the break. Could be another very dull match. It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |

You forgot the late penalty, which Luka benevolently presents to Tekkers, who drills it home (ooh err missus) to reinstate himself as a Palace hero. 9-0 Edited by YT (10 Apr 2018 6.47pm)
