Put Messi in and hey presto.

Kane, Suarez, .......top tier, just one.
Like when we bought Don Rogers, or when Ian Wright arrived on the scene.

You’ve jinxed us.
We signed Rogers and got relegated.

He would at least have made the goalkeeper work.
Hennessey that is - as he sliced a clearance defending a corner !

Even Willo posting positive posts - I take some comfort from that...!!

Look Benteke was woeful yesterday - as I said in a previous post yesterday just looks totally bereft of any confidence.

This is the business end of the season with a favourable run in over our rivals.

Roy needs to put an arm round Bentekes shoulder remind him of what he does best and build him up - and say forget the/your season til now that's in the past - we have 6 games left - we need you up and firing - are you up for it - if so let's get doing the do..!!

We are paying now for bad decisions made by previous managers etc.
Basically we just have to limp over the line to safety, so that we can repair the damage.
There are obvious failings in our set up including a "striker" that cant score and our most expensive defender ever who has an error or two per game.
For us to get through the last 6 games and not be in the bottom three is more to do with others failing than anything. If we can go on an unbeaten run now to the end of the season, even if we draw 4,then that would be enough.
I wonder what the odds would be for Wickam to be our top scoring striker this season!

Interesting. But 31 goals is still hardly prolific particularly given the number of penalties. My view's probably jaundiced by seeing so many chances squandered at critical points in home games.

Come on everybody we are going to be fine, we have the best manager in the bottom 8 and we have a very good spirit within the squad. I am going to remain positive, Benteke will hit form (blimey that is positive eh!!) scoring 6 more by the close of the season!!

I feel the same. I know we are good enough, but we miss so many open goals and so many big decisions go against us that I have to be pessimistic.

Stoke now losing at Arsenal helps our cause.
WBA, Southampton & Huddersfield to go down-maybe Stoke, but not us.

Perhaps it will all be over by the time we play Leicester.

Just gotta keep banging away until it's over. One way or t'other

Don't get me wrong i hate Arsenal, but they've done us a favour today.

So i see it being, West Brom, Stoke and Huddersfield for end of season shocker.

The way we've been playing it shouldn't warrant a place in the bottom 3 not by a long way.

Can I make a mad prediction?

Benteke will come good!

You heard it here first.

I've got a feeling in my bowels that Benteke is a sleeping giant.

Once a man like that achieves his confidence, he is aroused and KABOOM! He will smite those who stand in the path of righteousness.

For it it written, on a future edition of Holmesdale Net, that Benteke scored two against Bournemouth and the fans saw that it was good.
