Hand speed, footwork, ability to take a punch, I'd argue he matches him for stamina.

Think Parker will run Joshua a lot closer than people think. May even catch him in round 4 of 5.

Not that I'm biased or anything.

Sprites keep an eye out for one of my pals , in the middleweight tournament in Auckland. The blonde fella in the middle Kerry. Bromley boy, been in New Zealand a few years , works in the ‘red line boxing gym’
Top fella.

I wouldn’t be surprised if AJ beats Parker. Then wilder comes to England , probably to fight Whyte. AJ fights Miller. Then Joshua v Wilder (probably over here, who would have thought that a few years ago ?)
Haye or Bellew to fight Parker, the other one to fight Whyte.
Tyson fury to be in the mix with Joshua/wilder.

What is that mate, a New Zealand version of Prizefighter?

Funny - I literally live 5 minutes away from Ellerslie Events Centre.
Got a newborn and to be honest, not hugely into boxing/MMA, so can't promise I'll make it along! But got mates in the scene, so will ask them how he gets on!

Yes all done in a night. 3 x 3 min rounds.
Kerry came home for Christmas, first time in 2 years , 3 days back went home and found his mum dead in her chair. Had a horrible few weeks , his dad passed away when he worked for me.
Got back there and they asked him to fight in that tournament. He’s the lightest one in it, most of the others have dropped weight to fight at middle weight.
He’s double quick and silly fit, so hoping he does well. 10 thousand dollars for the winner and will fight for a well respected belt apparently.

We sponsor him. Not that we are looking for work in Auckland. I couldn’t afford the diesel.

Sh@t, poor lad.

I wish him the best for the comp. DM me a YouTube link if it's recorded etc.

Lovely place NZ but a bit of an outpost if you're in the boxing world.

Moving to the other side of the planet and then choosing to get punched in the face for a living - I guess anythings better than working for you..

Ha. Yeah probably, he went to Australia and ended up in NZ. He says it’s the equivalent of being a good level boxer in Kent.
Good trainer, learned a bit from Ale Smith training Sam Webb and Bradley Skeete.
Top lad. Don’t know how to forward a you tube link, but I’ll let you know.

As has been mentioned anyone has a punches chance at heavyweight level. Parker was very poor against Hughie Fury and looked very flabby and overweight.
To be fair he's seems to of shifted some timber and looks fitter than normal for this fight.

I feel Joshua needs to finish it inside 7. Any longer and Parker has a chance.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Ok, so what are people's thoughts on how this will go?

For me at the minute i just favour Joshua based on the fact that he's tasted the atmosphere before and will likely settle down quicker getting into his rhythm with that telegraph pole of a jab...BUT...he has to keep Parker at distance so he doesn't get caught.

Parker for me has a punchers chance and should be strong in the early rounds; but having been on the floor a few times already before getting up to win show's Joshua's heart.

For me Joshua in round 10 by KO

AJ in the 3rd.

I refuse to believe there are that many people out there that can't spell. Too f**king lazy, that's what I think.

The nearer fightnight gets the more I start to wonder if this could be an upset.

AJ will be a bigger guy however Parker does have very fast hands.

Parker is also a very good inside fighter and if he can start to get inside AJs guard this could be interesting.

That said my money would still be on AJ but am tempted to bet on Parker mid to late if the odds are generous enough.
