Indeed. The usual stuff planted by Levy to unsettle Wilf, aided and abetted by lazy mouthpiece journalism. Levy thinks if he keeps up the pressure season by season, Palace and/or Wilf will eventually capitulate.

The right place at the right time

I don't want Wilf to leave and if the club can demonstrate we are building a team that is not circling the drain hopefully he will stay.

That said if Hazard and or William moves on I would have thought Chelsea would be a more natural fit.

Love the part of the article where they say he's likely to leave this summer.

What basis does the journalist have for this?

Idiotic journalism.

Hopefully whoever advised him will remember that he turned his back on England. Would have been a shoe in for the squad for the world cup. He is God at Selhurst and he should never forget what happened at moan u. Bench warming and hostile fans when things don't go right maybe hard to swallow.

More consistent end product than when he left before.

Deserves a shot with a team in Europe to showcase his talent.

Would go leaving us with lots of memories and hopefully the cash we get for him will be spent wisely on the team.

I don't think anyone should have issue with him leaving this time around. He is one of the most exciting Premier League players now and with the likes of Hazard potentially leaving, he could easily be one of the top 5. It's totally different to last time when he was a promising youngster that left to grow under Ferguson (and then he retired).

However, what we should all take issue with, including the club and hopefully Wilf to an extent, is the price-tag. Wilf is 65-70 million minimum. Simple as.

We should be looking at his replacement costing us 40 million (so we don't lose a significant amount of quality from the squad) and banking another 30. It's no good Spurs only giving us the money for a half decent replacement, we need to see some value out of this.

Slow news day. Thought he was sh8t the way other fans talk about him.

I refuse to believe there are that many people out there that can't spell. Too f**king lazy, that's what I think.

Really! Or did England turn their back on him ? Exactly how long was he meant to wait for even a squad place?

That's the vital part.
I still remember us spending 1.8 million
of the 2.5 million we received for Ian Wright
..... on Marco Gabbadini

Usual cr+p on a slow news time. Spurs are going to have to pay their existing stars a lot more money from this summer onwards or they are going to lose them. Then how are they going to fill their new 61,000 stadium? they will not have the money to pay a lot more out in transfers so not bothered about them this close season. Only way would be is if we went down, and as that is not going to happen Spurs are not a concern.
A bigger concern would be a big club abroad who has seen his stats & performance's and thinks he is worth more than £50m, but does not want to pay £60m+ plus for players. The ref's do not protect him here & that could be a factor. Hopefully we will see him in the red 'n' blue at one more season.
