It’s a marathon not a sprint. We are not getting relegated because of losses against Man U and Spurs. We are far from out of it. Chelsea is a big ask but we have it in us to cause an upset. Why not?

Agreed. We are being relegated for our results against Huddersfield, Swansea, Newcastle, West Brom, Everton, etc. Luck plays a part, but the best teams make their own luck. There’s no excuse for throwing away a 2 goal lead. This season seems to be our turn to every bit of misfortune available. Being positive, nobody has died (yet).

I know that hurt...a lot. But the fact is we have, with a patched up team, taking on two of the best teams arguably in Europe, let alone England and only narrowly lost to both. With out players fit and firing we will pick up more points once these tough games are over.

And Wan-Bissaka! We've got a potential gem there.

This. Keep the faith.

Lots of positives from this game and hopefully the last time we see Hennessey in goal.

Yes. I agree. My comment was more in a response to the meltdown on here after a loss against a big team. I have supported Palace my whole life and the amount of times we have lost to a late goal after a great performance against a bigger team is beyond counting. It was totally expected to be honest.

We are not totally f***ed because of that result or, indeed, manner of that defeat. Keep the faith all! We are where we expected to be this weekend... it’s just the hope that kills you.

Good post, laddo. 9 games left - plenty to play for and twists a-plenty, I’m sure.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Two defests in the dying minutes.

Wake up and smell the coffee...

We have a paper thin squad thst can't last 90 mins.

You could point to individuals but what is the point? Whole team good or bad lacks the backbone to last 90 mins.

We are disjointed with no real support to the front 2 and the blame has to lie with those in charge.

Yes admire the pluck but nothing behind it

Best game I've seen Benteke play in for a long long time, showed passion, great workrate and a quality assist, if he can do that every game we should be fine.

We played two up front and that’s what Benteke hasn’t had all season - support

Two unlucky defeats against top four teams fella. And we have plenty of players returning

Palace put in a real shift last night. Most times , playing like that, we would have got something from the game.
Massively disappointing to lose in the final minute when we were on course for a win.

But, as the OP said, we can't let our heads drop. The final games can make or break. We can take heart from the fantastic team performance.

If we keep playing like that, we can beat anyone

I disengage, I turn the page.

Last night I went to my bed devestated for the players, Roy and the fans. I felt angry but not st the club or the players but at Jose because I think he’s a disgusting human. He sat there looking entitled and cussing his players at 2-0 down. The man is vile. Nothing special about him or Man U.

This morning I feel very very proud of the club. What a effort against hundreds and hundreds of millions of pounds worth of players. I wouldn’t swap one of ours for there’s.

The back four were putting everything on the line, Tomkins was class, PVA was like a jack rabbit. Kelly was Kelly, solid. AWB was like mr soft with his long legs making there wingers look silly. The midfield were disaplined and solid. Shlup was superb, he was a great outlet, been missed. Townsend as usual was tireless. The two boys up front worked hard but clearly sorloth is the future.

Roy is doing a super job, we’ve always been in games and he’s got everyone playing hard. I’ve got no worries we about staying up with our run in compared to stoke and Southampton.

Lastly mr parish is getting a lot of stick, might be worth thinking about him as our saviour as he bailed the club out. Made a plan, got us in the prem and made the right appointment every time in that moment to keep us in the league. The recruitment has been good over all and he’s put lots money in. Not too mention the ground upgrade.

But we could always get like West Ham or get in a foreign lot from the Middle East and end up like all the failed ex prem clubs who sold there souls. If we go down I’ll thank a 70 year old for a monster effort and the chairman for a lot of memories in the prem. we won’t tho as we have a good club from top to bottom. A chairman that cares, passionate manager and players and the very best fans in the world.
