Sorry to be 'that guy' but without having bothered doing predictions I do unfortunately think a lot of you are being optimistic. I hope I'm wrong of course but most of our best players are out injured and I think only Wilf likely to return soon (admittedly the most important). This isn't the Crystal Palace team that went 12 games unbeaten under Roy, this is a ravaged Championship level squad with a drain in confidence and very fatigued. Townsend gone back to playing within himself, probably because of fatigue due to being the only player capable of running. Zaha before his injury wasn't exactly fantastic in the last few games. On paper, can we beat the Stoke's, Watford's, Leicester's? Yes. But I don't see how you can even predict us scoring a goal against them right now. No Zaha, no goals. Should of been addressed in January. Wasn't.

To finish 14th on 38 points. Brighton at home, such a big game!

Every reason t be optimistic,

I've tried to be as honest as possible and have us finishing 12th on 36 points. Although all I would need to do is change my predicted win against West Brom on the final day to a draw and I'd have us relegated in 18th on 34 points! I really hope it doesn't go down to the last day but from my predicted results I've got West Brom and Swansea going down with either us or Stoke joining them I have us relegated on 34 pts.

For us, it depends on how many players we can get back from injury. If we keep on struggling with 10-12 players out, then I don’t fancy our chances of staying up

You have us down as getting another 7pts? You do realise that means we can't lose every game. This is possibly your most optimistic post in weeks

Hopefully Tomkins is also a short term injury so available. This would at least give us a near to complete team with only RLC missing from the midfield.

All these risible Brighton allegations are re-heated old tosh. Fo the umpteen time, I have been an avid supporter of our club since the 60s and witnessed the highs and lows of our 'Snakes and ladders' existence. I can assure you I find our current plight very distressing and my poor wife has borne the brunt of my anger and disappointment as our PL life ebbs away.
