With so many players out of contract this summer and already needing reinforcements to strengthen the squad we need to make some major purchases that will have to be funded somehow.

With Steve Parish constantly worried about FFP I can see that we may well take a decent offer for our major asset in order to fund the rebuilding of the squad

Maybe, but I believe it will be for far more than £50M due to the length of the contract he is on.

£50m has to be worth it and to be fair to Wilf he needs to go to a bigger club with more opportunities for silverware and European football to realise his potential. As much as it would be sad to lose him, it would be sadder if he never got to that elite level he's capable of, and will never achieve with us.

Spurs trophies in last 25 years: 1 League Cup. 10 years ago.

If he goes I hope for him it's to a side that wins things and where he's allowed the freedom to be Wilf, otherwise he might as well stay where he's loved.

Agreed,in fact the pundits are saying that Spurs need to win Silverware or Harry is off.
Does get a bit stupid when there are only 4 things to win for the Top clubs and 3 for the Palace.
And we will never win one of them.

You could be right ... loadsa money required and a big rebuilding job on what is currently a mediocre squad that has not lived up to expectations. Wilf probably needs a bigger stage to realise his full potential but I am not sure it will be with Spurs.

£75m and they also need to negotiate with everton for us to get yannick back at no cost to us!

It'll be Wilf or Andros I reckon. Nobody else is worth anything apart from maybe Tomkins but you get close to selling a player(s) close to the amount to replace them. Actually if Roy stays then it might just be consistent with his narrow tactics, not that I like it but it works for Roy.

50 million plus Llorente would give us the much-needed funds to reconstruct the squad.

Would hate to see him go like everyone else but have to be realistic and I'm sure he has got ambitions to play Champions League, etc.

Schoolboy defensive errors .... can't deliver corners .... or score enough goals. We would be comfortably sitting mid table if our current squad was firing on all cylinders. Imho our last four games reveal our level of mediocrity.

Agreed,I Simply think if we had Roy instead of Frank we would have at least 6 more points.
Just below Burnley.

Standard stuff when this fixture comes around. My guess is if we stay up he stays. If he goes I reckon it will be to the highest London club bidder. COYP

Can’t believe some of these responses. More suited to North Stand Chat. Where would we be without Wilf this season. Down and out, that’s where. You lot think that our star performer should move to a bigger club for his own sake. That did him well last time! Unbelievable. I thought this was a Palace fans forum.
