I can second this, also bought panasonic bread maker, better than local bakeries and miles better than supermarket, 5 mins to prepare, takes a while depending on type of bread but well worth it, go for it

Me too - best purchase, great bread - great aroma too!

Indeed. Got a spiced fruit loaf "on the go" as we speak. FFS if not careful will not be able to show my face in the Holmesdale again!!

We appear to have turned into MumsNett, or NSC.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

There's been plenty of recipe sharing on here in the past.

We have been making our own bread for decades. Do it in a special way.

Surely 'baking your own bread' is a euphemism.

I used to use breadmakers, very convenient but having managed to kill a couple of them just make it from scratch (well from ready prepared bread mix).

Add water whisk for 8 minutes leave it an hour to rise, put it on a baking tray leave for 40 mins.

Score the top deeply and brush with water, stick in oven at 240 for 15 mins , lower to 200 for rest of bake depending on size.

Easy

He stopped purely because he got fed up making it.
Purchasing a loaf was simpler.

ME,

Moulinex was the make.
