I can second this, also bought panasonic bread maker, better than local bakeries and miles better than supermarket, 5 mins to prepare, takes a while depending on type of bread but well worth it, go for it Me too - best purchase, great bread - great aroma too!

We appear to have turned into MumsNett, or NSC.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |

We have been making our own bread for decades. Do it in a special way. Terrific

Surely 'baking your own bread' is a euphemism.

I used to use breadmakers, very convenient but having managed to kill a couple of them just make it from scratch (well from ready prepared bread mix). Add water whisk for 8 minutes leave it an hour to rise, put it on a baking tray leave for 40 mins. Score the top deeply and brush with water, stick in oven at 240 for 15 mins , lower to 200 for rest of bake depending on size. Easy
