My advice to you:

When your sofa falls apart, lights on fire, and turns to ashes, you should replace it for your first pay check of the month, rather than wait until your final pay check, then mess around for days trying to pick a sofa, dont end up buying one, then the sofa buying window shuts, and your team is left sitting on the floor for the next 6 months.

Regarding hiring a builder to manage the upgrade, I would recommend you do NOT spend about 4 weeks carefully vetting about 10 different builders, then pick a blind 3 legged goat to manage the building work (not a good fit for your project).

Finally to make your analogy complete, you are raking in millions to make your move, but not to a mansion, just maybe to a 4 bedroom house with a conservatory. You just have to sit back and watch the dough roll in, manage your expenditures, not make awful decisions all the time, and you might just get the upgrade!

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

Let's be clear though: Benteke is looking like a dire signing on many levels (hope he turns it round, think he can), and he was an American moneyball signing. Had the Americans not got involved, Benteke wouldn't be here I reckon. And we would be on a different (typically cheapskate) strategic path. Dunno who really wanted Sakho but again suspect the Americans.

Those 2 signings have defined us in the past few years.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

Do you really think that at the time we purchased Benteke the Americans had even heard of him?

I'm sure I've seen steady progress at Palace including,
infrastructure, financial intelligence, investment and playing staff.
All this achieved with a relatively inexperienced footy executive team/owners.
There is very little chance of progress without errors.
On the whole Palace have got it right.

can we remember just how many massive clubs exist down in the championship.

massive stadia ? massive fanbase, billionaire chairmen.

Leeds Utd anybody ? former european champions.

QPR has got serious money behind it.

Aston Villa ?

lets be grateful for 27 points already and a good chance at another year of survival.

Kayla did Anfield & Old Trafford

Your attempt at a humorous analogy falls flat on two counts. Firstly it isn't very funny and secondly our problems aren't down to money.

If the media are correct we had enough money to buy a goalkeeper but didn't as we left it too late. We also had enough money to buy a defensive midfielder but didn't and we also had enough money to buy one or two others but didn't.

The money wasn't the problem. It was not spending it that was

That is another rather silly analogy as one could use that sort of excuse to not do anything in life. Don't spend money as Leeds and QPR were relegated. Don't drive a car because people are killed in car crashes. Don't eat shellfish as you could get food poisoning. The list of things not to do is endless

Is it SP that is responsible for , in your view , lack of progression this season os is it down to unfortunate injuries ?

Words fail me !!!!We have the 19th most expensive squad in Europe. Where has the money come from ? Parish and the Americans.

In retrospect due to injuries we should have got another keeper in, and a winger
I think that if we want to level criticism at SP has been too sentimental holding onto "legends" past their sell by date. Also probably the jobs for the boys recruitment

I notice your big caveat there and boy is it a big caveat.
